Gratitude Leaves & Galaxy Art

Every student in the school created Gratitude leaves that are going to be a part of a big installation on our gratitude tree! We are hoping to inspire some extra appreciation during this time of year as we get closer to Thanksgiving. I loved seeing the kids focus on the things they need to survive and thrive with.

ART CLUB made these amazing Galaxy artworks with chalk pastels. So much effort went into blending these beauties and adding some cool star details. It was messy but oh so much fun!

We also read the book The Circles all Around Us to remind us all about inclusion and how good it can feel to be a part of something bigger. This artwork represents the Jane Ryan School circles that include everyone who flows in and out of this building making it all happen for these students on a daily basis. I hope when they walk past it in the hall it gives them a sense of belonging and inclusion.
