This week was an absolute BLAST! The4th & 5th graders got to use their mini sketches and turn them into HUGE BEAUTIFUL GEMS that we painted with NEON LIQUID WATERCOLOR PAINT! We were vibing to calming music and just painting away. The kids had to focus on color blending. Careful not to put the colors on top of one another but to put them next to each other creating a blend where the two colors meet. In the photo below you can see their sketches from last week and their new huge paintings.
The other grades made gemstones too but on a smaller scale. We drew these step by step together so ensure success and played with the color blending as well.
As a final step many of the kiddos got to do a little splatter paint to finish the piece off. Careful not to get too carried away they had a lot of fun splashing.
